Before designing your project, read these tips on setting up your file
Once you've designed (and preflighted) your newsletter, brochure, direct mailer or other print project, submit your files on a CD, DVD, USB thumb drive, or via our FTP server.
SUBMIT VIA FTP To use Licher's FTP server, call 626/795-3333 during business hours and request a user name and password. This fact sheet explains how to upload your files.
Direct-to-plate Direct-to-plate technology eliminates the middleman—film. You save a generation (and the accompanying image degradation) by shortening the path between your digital file and the printing plate.
Proofing Depending on your project, Licher generates black and white or color proofs on highly accurate Epson 8 color Matchprint Inkjet Proofing System. If you prefer, the production department can email a PDF for review.
Presses A variety of presses means you get the right equipment for your project:
• a 6-color, 40” Komori with an inline aqueous coater
• a 5-color, 40” Komori
• a 2-color Ryobi for smaller-format jobs
Bindery/Finishing Licher completes projects with a variety of binding and finishing processes (at left), all of which are done in-house to save time.
Working green Most recycled papers are ranked by the percentage of post-consumer waste they contain, and attributes such as “tree free” or “chlorine free.” Licher offers many recycled papers to help customers meet their commitment to socially and environmentally responsible business practices.
In addition, all waste paper generated during production is recycled. Licher also prints with vegetable-based ink and recycles all printing plates.
